Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, very beautiful large blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with shapely torso.
The elaborate original costume of fine silks, lace and embroidery with elaborate coiffe is perfectly preserved.
Condition: generally excellent. Her bisque free of hairline, restoration or any damages.
The kid body in very good condition.

Emile Jumeau, circa 1878, the poupee was likely prepared as an exhibition model for an international exposition as indicated by both the high quality of the facial sculpture and detail, and the extraordinary original and authentic costume designed to appeal to international traveling royalty.
