Very beautiful child with wistful solemn expression! She has bisque socket head, small blue glass eyes, rose-blushed eye shadow, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, original Kestner cork pate, original fine blonde mohair wig, early composition and wooden chunky ball jointed composition body with straight wrists, antique silk and lace dress, original bonnet, socks, shoes and undergermants.
This is a great doll that definitely has the most “sought after” look of the early Kestner dolls. Condition: generally excellent. The bisque head is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The original body is in excellent condition with the original finish. Marks: It is incised with the number 9 on the back of the head. Germany, J.D. Kestner, circa 1880. 12" (30 cm.) tall I DO A LAYAWAY (max. 10 m9nths for this item) Please email me if yo8u have any questions or need more photos.
