Rare French Bisque Poupee by Bru with Fine Original Costume

17" (43 cm). Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,pale blue glass enamel inset eyes,heavy eyelids,black eyeliner,painted lashes,arched feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with accented lips,ears pierced into head,brunette mohair wig over cork pate,French kid gusset poupee body, antique original dress, har, underwear and leather boots.
Very good condition.

Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1867,the model has a hint of smile,precursing his 1873 depose smiling model.
Value Points: very beautiful face enhanced with luminous patina,Bru "E" marking on head,and lovely antique black silk taffeta gown.
