Pressed bisque socket head, large blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted long lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, dimpled chin, pierced ears, mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists.
This bebe, in a desirable petite size, has strikingly large eyes enhanced by beautiful painted details and a rarer loose-ball-jointed body. She wears a wonderful antique red silk dress and hat, along with undergarments, stockings, and leather shoes.

Condition: generally excellent.

Marks: 3 (and untinted white space at back of head). Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body).

Emile Jumeau, circa 1890, his Bebe Reclame model, created for Paris department store orders; the untinted white block indicated the spot where department stores could place their own label, promoting the doll as their own store brand.
